This new Nook is ultra light and is being touted for it's high portability. The Nook will have WiFi capabilities but will not have 3G access unfortunately. However it's still a pretty good bargain at $139. If your looking for an affordable eReader for reading books and nothing more then this may be a feasible option. The E-Ink technology mimics the actual look of a printed page and is not backlit like the Nook Color or a computer screen. If you do alot of reading then the backlit screen of a computer could cause visual discomfort after extended reading sessions.
If you're currently in the market for a new eReader I would definitely suggest you do your research before you make your purchase. The market is quickly becoming saturated with tablet devices, some great and some not so great. It's important to know what you're looking for before you make your final decision. If this is your issue then I plan to help you with it, stay tuned and I'll tell you about my search for the perfect eReader and what I learned in the process. More coming soon!
